Torchie is an app to turn your device's flash on and off by simply pressing the up and down volume buttons simultaneously. It's that simple. Once the app is activated, whenever you press both volume buttons at the same time your flash turns on, even if you have a different app open or your screen is locked.
In the settings, you can choose if you want Torchie to turn on the flash or instead light up the screen. You can also choose whether you want it to work while the screen is locked.
It's important to note that Torchie does NOT require root privileges. Despite what its features may suggest, you can use it even if your phone isn't rooted. Best of all, it doesn't have any ads.
